Best Diesel Deals on “Craigslist Des Moines”

Lifestyle

This series began in March 2020 with a story on a 1994 Ford E-350, which was part of former President Bill Clinton’s motor pool. We didn’t know this would become so popular back then. This is a rundown of Des Moines, Iowa and the immediate area. We now have 20 stories that cover our search for Craigslist des moines privately selling via Craigslist.

Important to remember that although diesel-powered pickup trucks are common almost everywhere, they are not our primary focus. We are looking for unusual, unique, and even quirky diesel vehicles, parts, and equipment in order to have fun with the project. There are certain instances when late-model pickups that we all know deserve credit.

Iowa’s capital is Craigslist des moines. Iowa’s capital is the “big city”, if you will. It’s a state known for its corn and other agricultural products. Before we started our search for “diesel”, we expected to see a lot more farm trucks and other equipment (harvesters combines etc.). That’s powered with oil burners.

Surprisingly, only 37 responses were received for the simple query. They range from the aforementioned farm truck to sedans and big rigs. Most trucks in this selection have between 100,000 and 200,000 miles. These trucks are well-maintained and in excellent condition. They can be purchased for as low as $20,000 (except for GMC van); they also offer great deals on diesels.

We’d love to hear more details about any of these cases, so please let us know. Also, let us know about any good diesel deals you find on Craigslist. Send info and a link to: [email protected].

Craigslist des moines 2019 GMC Savana G2500

This is an exception. We don’t see any late-model vans being sold through Craigslist as diesel rigs. Although the price is high ($59,995) it has a Duramax 2.8L engine and an eight-speed auto transmission. It also has four-wheel drive. This van has a long wheelbase and is designed for carrying cargo.

2002 Craigslist des moines Silverado 2500HD

Iowa is the best place to look for a vehicle that’s “rust-free”. The truck has 340,000 miles on its 6.6L Duramax powerplant and Allison automatic transmission. However, the seller claims that it “still runs the best.” It looks great in photos and is priced at $7,500. A Silverado to consider, for sure.

2005 Dodge Ram 2500

This solid rig has just 130,000 miles on the 5.9L Cummins Cummins engine. There’s also no DEF! According to the seller. Prices start at $18,000. However, the seller will entertain any offers.

2006 Ford F-250

Another 256,000 miler that has some rust (tailgate, doors) but the 6.0L Power Stroke has been serviced. The seller claims that everything works as it should. This could be a great deal for anyone looking for a full-size four-wheel-drive for less than ten grand.

2008 Dodge Ram 2500

This 6.7L Cummins-powered truck is available for sale at an estimated eleven-thousand-dollars or the best offer. It has 225,000 miles on its odometer. Although the truck is clean and free from rust, the seller states that it only needs some wiring to work with the four-wheel drive system.

Craigslist des moines North Side Robbery

A Craigslist customer robbed a woman in Taco Bell’s parking lot on Saturday. He told her that he was going to buy her an iPhone.

According to police reports, the woman met a young man in her car around 3:45 p.m. on Saturday at the Taco Bell at 1501 East Euclid Ave. so he could purchase an iPhone X that she had posted on the online classifieds website.

The suspect was allowed to borrow her iPhone XS Max, worth $1,100, to make a call before she finalised the purchase of the iPhone X. As he was leaving the car with his iPhone XS Max, the suspect pulled out a gun from his hoodie pocket and pointed it at her.

The woman tried to use the “find iPhone” app on a Taco Bell employee’s phone, but it was not possible to locate her device. The Taco Bell surveillance cameras captured footage of the suspect getting into and out of the woman’s vehicle. The suspect and the iPhone have not been located.
