java jazz festival 2012

Made a short trip to Jakarta and got a chance to watch my favourite Jazz performers on Jakarta International Java Jazz 2012 around last week. This is a 3-day festivals, but I went on Friday March 2nd. They have numerous performers each day in different stage on the specified timing, so we can go around from one stage to another to see our favourite.

My favourite acoustic group Depapepe デパペペ  by Miura Takuya and Tokuoka Yoshinari

Bruce Hamada. His music is so relaxing, i can imagine it playing on a fancy romantic dinner.

My other favourite singer, Andien. Her songs are always catchy and she is also an energetic performer.

last but not least catching The Manhattan Transfer, a cappella jazz fusion from the 70s

All performers are brilliant and I really enjoy the event. We arrived at about 6 pm and go on until about 12. Although it is a bit tiring but of course it is worth it and time does fly when you have a good time.
